NHL: New York Rangers 7, Toronto 1

TORONTO, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Dominic Moore led an offensive assault with two goals and Saturday and the New York Rangers rolled over Toronto 7-1.

Chris Kreider, Benoit Pouliot, Carl Hagelin, Brad Richards and Brian Boyle each scored for the Rangers, who continued their recent dominance of Toronto with a sixth win in seven meetings.

Backup goalie Cam Talbot stopped 25-of-26 shots to earn the win.

Joffrey Lupul scored for the Maple Leafs, who were coming off a victory over Detroit in Wednesday's NHL Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium.

Jonathan Bernier allowed five goals on 32 shots before being lifted in the second period.

James Reimer turned aside 16-of-18 shots the rest of the way.
