SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Brent Burns notched a goal and an assist Sunday, helping the San Jose Sharks break Anaheim's 10-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory.
Logan Couture also scored and 32-year-old career minor-leaguer Bracken Kearns scored his first NHL goal for the Sharks, who posted a fourth straight triumph and pulled within five points of the Ducks atop the Pacific Division.

Antti Niemi stopped 30-of-31 shots, taking a shutout into the third period.
Patrick Maroon got the only goal for Anaheim, which lost for the first time since Dec. 3.
Frederik Andersen made 20 saves.
