NFL: Pittsburgh 20, Cleveland 7

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh beat Cleveland 20-7 Sunday and clung to playoff hopes, but the Steelers were later eliminated when San Diego clinched the final AFC wild-card berth.

Le'Veon Bell scored and had 96 yards of total offense to finish the season with 1,259 yards, surpassing the Steelers franchise rookie record set by Franco Harris in 1972.

Ben Roethlisberger delivered a pair of scoring strikes and was intercepted twice for Pittsburgh (8-8), finishing with 179 passing yards.

The Pittsburgh victory combined with losses by Baltimore and Miami kept the Steelers' playoff hopes alive until San Diego later topped Kansas City 27-24 in overtime.

Jason Campbell completed 23-of-41 passes for 240 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Browns (4-12), who dropped a 10th straight game in Pittsburgh.
