NBA: San Antonio 108, Phoenix 101

PHOENIX, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Manu Ginobili scored six points in the final 2 minutes Wednesday in helping San Antonio pull away late for a 108-101 victory over Phoenix.

The Spurs closed the game on a 13-6 run to bounce back from what was only their fifth loss of the season -- a setback against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Ginobili led the Spurs with a season-high 24 points along with six rebounds and seven assists. Tim Duncan scored 17 points and grabbed 13 boards.

San Antonio turned the ball over 18 times, but forced 19. The Spurs and Suns both made seven 3-pointrs and San Antonio had one more free throw than did Phoenix in the closely contested game.

Channing Frye scored 22 points to lead the Suns, who had a five-game winning streak snapped.

San Antonio's road record climbed to 11-3. It was the Spurs' 20th win of the season and they became the third team in the Western Conference to reach that total.
