NBA: Dallas 105, Memphis 91

DALLAS, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki paced a strong shooting performance Friday that launched Dallas to a 105-91 victory over Memphis.

The Mavericks improved to 11-2 at home thanks to their hitting 54 percent of their shots from the field. Memphis attempted 19 more shots than did Dallas and made three less.

Nowitzki went 9-of-15 and scored 20 points. Monta Ellis added 18 points and Vince Carter had 14 off the bench.

Memphis lost its fifth in a row. Tony Allen led the Grizzlies with 16 points while Zach Randolph and Jon Leuer both had 14.
