NBA: New York 111, Atlanta 106

NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony struck for 35 points Saturday and the New York Knicks used a ballhawking defense to best Atlanta 111-106.

Anthony connected on 13-of-22 shots and Andrea Bargnani made good on 11-of-16 tries en route to 23 points for New York, which produced 27 Hawks turnovers.

Lou Williams came off the bench to put in 27 points for Atlanta, which dropped a fourth straight on the road.

Paul Millsap helped out with 18 points and eight rebounds.
