ANAHEIM, Calif., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Jonas Hiller took a shutout into the third period Wednesday and Anaheim made two early goals stand up for a 2-1 win over Minnesota.
The Pacific Division-leading Ducks captured their fourth in a row.
Alex Grant and Corey Perry scored during the opening stanza with Perry producing his 21st of the season on a deflection with 6:33 to go in the period.
That was all the scoring until Jason Pominville ruined Hiller's shutout bid 3:48 into the third
Hiller finished with 23 saves and the Ducks improved their home record to 12-0-2.
Josh Harding, who came into the game with a league-leading 1.50 goals-against average, allowed the two goals on 31 shots.
