The Celtics found themselves trailing by only three with 2:55 to play after Jared Sullinger made a layup.

Crawford then hit his back-to-back long-range shots that suddenly vaulted the Clippers in front by nine with 2:12 to go.

Chris Paul led the Clippers by flirting with a triple-double, scoring 22 points with seven rebounds and nine assists. Crawford had 21 points while Blake Griffin had 18.

Boston, out front of the Atlantic Division despite its 10-14 record, was paced by 29 points from Jeff Green.

Green, Jordan Crawford, Brandon Bass and Sullinger combined to score all but 12 of Boston's points. The Clippers' bench outscored that of the Celtics 34-4.
