NHL: Los Angeles 6, Montreal 0

MONTREAL, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Rookie Martin Jones notched a second consecutive shutout in just his third NHL start Tuesday and Los Angeles administered a 6-0 thrashing to Montreal.

Jones, coming off a 16-save shutout of the New York Islanders Saturday, turned aside 30 shots, including 17 in the first period.

The Kings backed him with goals from six different skaters, including scores from Jordan Nolan, Anze Kopitar, Alec Martinez, Tyler Toffoli, Jake Muzzin and Justin Williams.

Los Angeles won in Montreal for the first time since 1999 and notched just its ninth-ever defeat of the Canadiens.

Carey Price started in net for the Habs put was pulled in the second period after allowing four goals on 16 shots.

Peter Budaj stopped 12-of-14 shots the rest of the way as Montreal's five-game winning was snapped.
