NBA: Atlanta 108, Cleveland 89

ATLANTA, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Al Horford helped Atlanta get off to a quick start Friday and the Hawks rolled to a 108-89 decision over Cleveland.

Atlanta won its second in a row to climb above the .500 mark and ended what had been the first two-game winning streak of the season for the Cavaliers.

Horford was one of seven Atlanta players to reach double figures with 22 points. The Hawks outscored Cleveland 37-20 in the opening period and were not threatened the rest of the way.

Paul Millsap contributed 16 points while both Jeff Teague and Lou Williams had 13. Atlanta made 51 percent of its shots from the field.

Dion Waiters led Cleveland with 30 points, his largest total of the season.
