NBA: Oklahoma City 97, Sacramento 95

SACRAMENTO, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant scored 27 points and snagged 11 rebounds Tuesday to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a tough 97-95 road victory over Sacramento.

The Thunder withstood a furious rally by the Kings in the fourth quarter, escaping with the win when Isaiah Thomas' jumper at the buzzer came up short.

Russell Westbrook scored 15 for the Thunder and Jeremy Lamb scored 14 off the bench. Oklahoma City won its eighth consecutive game.

Sacramento had five players in double figures, but lost its fifth in a row. Thomas led the Kings with 24 points, including 21 in the final quarter during which Sacramento outscored the visitors 30-19.

Thomas scored seven points in a 13-0 run in the final quarter that pulled Sacramento to within five. His running hook shot in the final minutes cut the Thunder's lead to 97-95.

Thomas had a chance to tie the game as time ran out, but his fadeaway try missed the mark.
