SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Joe Pavelski scored the only goal in a shootout Saturday and the San Jose Sharks completed a five-game homestand sweep with a 4-3 victory over Anaheim.

After San Jose's Antti Niemi made an impressive toe save against Nick Bonino in the first round of the tiebreaker, Pavelski opened the second round by coming in on Jonas Hiller, stopping and firing a shot between his pads.

Niemi then made saves on Corey Perry and Kyle Palmieri to wrap up the most successful homestand ever for the Pacific Division-leading Sharks.

Patrick Marleau provided a goal and an assist.

Logan Couture and Martin Havlat each scored in regulation for San Jose.

Perry notched a regulation goal and Hiller made 32 saves.
