NHL: Nashville 4, Columbus 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Rookie Marek Mazanec posted the second shutout of his brief career Wednesday, stopping 19 shots in carrying Nashville over Columbus 4-0.

It was the ninth game of Mazanec's first NHL season and his fifth victory.

His teammates put 29 shots on goal against Sergei Bobrovsky and the Predators rode their young goalie to their fifth win in six games.

Matt Cullen opened the scoring with a slap shot midway through the first period and Mike Fisher scored with just 54 seconds having transpired the middle frame. Fisher's goal came on the power play.

David Legwand added a second-period goal and Nick Spaling tacked on another early in the third.
