NHL: Winnipeg 3, New Jersey 1

NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 25-of-26 shots Monday and the Winnipeg Jets broke a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 verdict over New Jersey.

Pavelec logged his 100th victory for the Jets franchise with the decision.

Mark Scheifele opened the scoring in the first period and Evander Kane doubled Winnipeg's advantage with a second-period goal.

Devin Setoguchi added an empty-netter and Dustin Byfuglien contributed two assists for the Jets.

Patrik Elias scored and Martin Brodeur made 19 saves for the Devils.
