ST. LOUIS, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Alexander Steen ended a brief scoring slump with a pair of goals and Jaroslav Halak posted a shutout Monday in the St. Louis Blues' 3-0 defeat of Minnesota.

Steen hadn't scored in four games entering the contest but netted his 18th of the season in the first period and capped the scoring in the third for the Blues, who improved to 10-1-1 in November.

Vladimir Sobotka also scored as St. Louis bested Central Division rival Minnesota for a sixth straight meeting.

Halak stopped all 22 shots he faced in recording his second shutout of the season.

Niklas Backstrom made 18 saves for the Wild.
