WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Charlie Coyle scored in the fourth round of a shootout Saturday and the Minnesota Wild stayed on a roll with a 3-2 win over division rival Winnipeg.
After Minnesota's Mikko Koivu and the Jets' Bryan Little each scored in the third round to extend the shootout, Coyle used a forehand-to-backhand move to pull Ondrej Pavelec out of the net and put in the game-winner.
Mikko Koivu netted a tying shorthanded goal in the third period and Zach Parise supplied a goal and an assist as the Wild posted a 10th win in 11 games.
Niklas Backstrom, making an emergency start after Josh Harding was injured before the game, stopped 37-of-39 shots.
Matt Halischuk and Michael Frolik each registered a goal and an assist for Winnipeg, which dropped a fourth straight.
Pavelec finished with 33 saves.
