NHL: Pittsburgh 4, Washington 0

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Marc-Andre Fleury turned in an 18-save shutout Wednesday and received plenty of offensive help in Pittsburgh's 4-0 blanking of Washington.

The Penguins won their second straight with Fleury picking up his second shutout of the season and the 25th of his 10-year career.

Pittsburgh peppered Braden Holtby with 40 shots and he could not withstand the assault as Washington had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Paul Martin and Beau Bennett scored in the first period, Sidney Crosby produced his 11th of the season on the power play in the middle stanza and James Neal tallied in the third.

Pittsburgh extended its lead over Washington in the Metropolitan Division to three points.
