COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- A comeback try by injured Olympic downhill skiing champ Lindsey Vonn suffered a setback Tuesday when she crashed during a practice run, the U.S. team said.

Vonn, who tore two right knee ligaments in a February crash at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Austria, was being evaluated for injuries at the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain, Colo., a statement indicated.

"She was not admitted to the hospital but was undergoing further evaluation, as is typical after a crash," the team said.

Vonn was hoping to return to action this month at Beaver Creek, Colo.

The American star took the gold medal in the women's downhill at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, also winning a bronze in the Super-G.
