NHL: Los Angeles 2, New Jersey 0

NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Ben Scrivens put together his second shutout of the season in limited action Friday, carrying Los Angeles to a 2-0 victory over New Jersey.

Scrivens made his second straight start and improved to 3-1 for the season. He has four career shutouts in 39 appearances scattered over three seasons.

The game was scoreless until Dwight King put a deflection past Cory Schneider with 6:52 left in regulation. Anze Kopitar scored into an empty net with three seconds left.

It was the first meeting of the Kings and Devils since they faced each other in the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals, which was won by Los Angeles in six games.

Cory Schneider stopped 19-of-20 shots in taking the loss.
