WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Andrew Ladd scored the tying goal late in the third period and added a shootout game-winner Sunday, rallying the Winnipeg Jets over San Jose 5-4.
The Jets were trailing 4-3 with 1:43 remaining in regulation when they pulled their goalie for a sixth attacker.
Bryan Little got control of the puck behind the net and sent a pinpoint pass to Ladd in the left circle, who one-timed it past Sharks goalie Antti Niemi for the equalizer.
After the scoreless overtime, the game went to a shootout where Ladd got the only goal on a curling shot past Niemi's glove.
Ondrej Pavelec secured the win with a stop of a shot by Dan Boyle and the Jets logged a third win in four games. Pavelec finished with 30 saves.
Ladd also notched an assist. Grant Clitsome provided a goal with two assists, while Dustin Byfuglien and Michael Frolik also scored for Winnipeg.
Boyle scored twice, Tomas Hertl notched a goal and and assist, and Tommy Wingels added a goal for the struggling Sharks, who dropped a fifth straight.
Niemi made 42 stops.
