WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Ondrej Pavelec made 41 saves and received plenty of offensive support Friday in carrying Winnipeg to a 5-0 victory over Nashville.

Pavelec, who brought a 3.09 goals-against average into the game, recorded his first shutout in two seasons and the 11th of his seven-year career.

Winnipeg scored four times in the first period with the third of those goals driving Carter Hutton from the game. Hutton gave up the three goals on eight shots before being replaced by Marek Mazanec, who made his NHL debut.

Bryan Little scored the opening goal of the first period and tallied again in the third to give him 10 for the season.

Nashville had won its previous two outings.
