NHL: Ottawa 3, Florida 2

OTTAWA, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Robin Lehner made 26 saves in his third win in three starts Saturday, backstopping the Ottawa Senators over Florida 3-2 in the Panthers' eighth straight loss.

Lehner improved to 3-0-0 in his last three starts for the Senators, who haven't lost in regulation for five consecutive games.

Kyle Turris and Mika Zibanejad each scored within the game's first 2 minutes for Ottawa and Clarke MacArthur added a power-play goal in the second period for a 3-1 advantage.

Marcel Goc and Nick Bjugstad scored for the Panthers in the debut of interim head Coach Peter Horachek, who took over behind the bench after Friday's firing of Coach Kevin Dineen and his staff.

Tim Thomas stopped 29-of-32 shots for Florida.
