NBA: Phoenix 114, Denver 103

PHOENIX, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Markieff Morris came off the bench to score 28 points Friday and Phoenix came up with a big fourth quarter to defeat Denver 114-103.

Phoenix stormed in front by 17 at halftime only to have Denver come back with a 40-point third period that put the Nuggets in front by three. The Suns then rebounded in the final period to hand Denver its fourth loss in five games this season.

Morris also had 10 rebounds while Miles Plumlee pitched in 18 points and 11 boards.

Ty Lawson paced the Nuggets with 29 points and Jordan Hamilton had 19.

The Suns took control during the final period with a 12-2 run that broke open what had been a 93-93 deadlock.
