Chris Kirk, Briny Baird share third-round McGladrey Classic lead

SEA ISLAND, Ga., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Chris Kirk and Briny Baird led a crowded leaderboard after three rounds of the McGladrey Classic Saturday, tying for the top spot one shot clear of the field.

Kirk notched three straight birdies on holes 13-15 then finished with a 25-foot putt for another birdie and a round of 2-under-par 68, putting him at 10-under 200.

The 41-year-old Baird -- looking for his first-ever PGA Tour win -- drained an 8-footer for a birdie on the final hole for a 3-under 67, matching Kirk at 10-under after 54 holes.

Kevin Stadler (65), Brian Gay (66) and John Senden (68) finished Saturday knotted for third at minus-9.

Brenden Todd (67) and Scott Brown (68) tied for sixth with Jason Kokrak (69) one shot further back at the Seaside Course.
