NBA: Oklahoma City 119, Detroit 110

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A typically big game from Kevin Durant Friday lifted Oklahoma City to a 119-110 triumph over Detroit.

The Thunder won their third in a row and improved to 4-1 on the season thanks to 37 points from Durant. He added eight rebounds and seven assists.

Oklahoma City made 18 more free throws than did the Pistons.

Russell Westbrook scored 20 points for the Thunder, but made only 5-of-19 from the field. Rookie Steven Adams had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the first double-double of his NBA career.

Josh Smith led Detroit with 25 points, but the Pistons suffered their third loss in four games. Greg Monroe contributed 20 points and 15 rebounds.
