NHL: Minnesota 4, Montreal 3

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Jason Pominville's second goal of the game Friday, coming with 5:28 to go in regulation, boosted Minnesota to a 4-3 triumph over Montreal.

It was Minnesota's fourth win in five games and came after the Wild let a two-goal lead in the third period slip away. The Canadiens had won two in a row.

Pominville snapped a 1-1 tie with the only goal of the second period and Nino Niederreiter's tip-in early in the third put the Wild in front by two.

Montreal then rallied on goals by P.K. Subban and Brian Gionta to get the score tied with 9:47 remaining in regulation.

That set the stage for Pominville, whose wrist shot brought about his ninth goal of the season.

Josh Harding made 31 saves for the win. Carey Price allowed four goals on 25 shots.
