The Clippers led by as many as 15 early in the fourth period on their way to their first win of the season.

Golden State and the two teams from Los Angeles combined to play a round-robin schedule against each other over the first three nights of the season and they each walked away from those encounters with a win and a loss.

Paul hit 12-of-20 from the field and made 16-of-17 free throws. His 42 points equaled the total produced by Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant in his first game of the campaign.

Blake Griffin added 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers while Jamal Crawford had 17 and J.J. Redick 15.
