ST. LOUIS, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Alexander Steen scored on a power play with 1 minute left in the third period Tuesday, elevating the St. Louis Blues over Winnipeg 3-2.

With the game tied 1-1, Winnipeg's Tobias Enstrom was whistled for interference with 2:13 left in regulation, giving St. Louis a man-advantage.

On the ensuing power play, the Blues passed the puck around the perimeter until Jay Bouwmeester directed it to the high slot, where Steen corralled the disc and shoveled a backhand shot past Ondrej Pavelec for the key goal.

Brendan Morrow and Alex Pietrangelo also scored while Jaroslav Halak stopped 21-of-23 shots for St. Louis, which improved to 7-1-2 on the season.

Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little scored for the slumping Jets, who fell for the fifth time in six games.

Pavelec finished with 30 saves.
