RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Jayson Megna scored his first NHL goal and added an assist Monday, helping Pittsburgh break a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Carolina.
Megna, a 23-year-old Northbrook, Ill., native, was recalled from last week from the American Hockey League and was playing in his second career game when he assisted on Tanner Glass' first-period goal.
