Webb Simpson retains big lead after three rounds in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Webb Simpson recorded a 4-under 67 Saturday, holding onto a big lead after three rounds of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.

Simpson, who came into the day with a four-shot shot lead, maintained that advantage after Saturday's round, ending at 19-under 194 in a quest for his first PGA Tour win since the 2012 U.S. Open.

Should he hang on through the final round, Simpson would get his fourth career PGA triumph.

Chesson Hadley, who also logged 67 at TPC Summerlin, had sole possession of second place at 15-under.

Jeff Overton (68) was third at 14-under while Jason Bohn (69) ended the day in fourth at 13-under.

Sean O'Hair fired an 8-under 63 to gain a share of fifth at 12-under 201, along with William McGirt (64), Ryo Ishikawa (68), Ryan Moore (69), Russell Knox (69) and J.J. Henry (70).
