NFL: Seattle 34, Arizona 22

GLENDALE, Ariz., Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Russell Wilson overcame two lost fumbles with three touchdown passes Thursday that lifted the Seattle Seahawks to a 34-22 win over Arizona.

The Seahawks improved to 6-1, the best start through seven games in the history of the franchise and one that gives them a 1 1/2-game lead over San Francisco in the NFC West.

Seattle has won two in a row after suffering its lone loss of the campaign to Indianapolis.

Wilson completed 18-of-29 passes for 235 yards and sent Seattle to a 14-0 lead with touchdown throws of 31 yards to Sidney Rice in the first period and 15 yards to Zach Miller in the second.

Arizona closed within 17-10 at halftime and came up with a field goal from Jay Feely early in the third period to cut the deficit to four.

Wilson guided Seattle 80 yards in 10 plays and hit Kellen Davis with a 1-yard scoring throw. The Seahawks then capitalized on a 49-yard interception return by Brandon Browner to set up a 2-yard touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch for a 31-13 lead.

Arizona's Carson Palmer went 30-of-45 for 258 yards, but was intercepted twice in the Cardinals' second straight loss. Arizona slipped to 3-4 and is in last place in the NFC West.
