DETROIT, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Mike Napoli clubbed a seventh-inning homer for the game's only run Tuesday and the Boston Red Sox grabbed a 2-1 ALCS lead with a 1-0 defeat of Detroit.
Tigers starter Justin Verlander had blanked the Red Sox on two hits over 6 1/3 innings when Napoli powered a pitch over the left-center field fence, breaking a scoreless tie.
