RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Rob Klinkhammer notched a pair of goals Sunday and the Phoenix Coyotes remained on a roll with a 5-3 victory over Carolina.

Phoenix reeled off a third straight win with the help of Shane Doan, who supplied a goal and an assist in the triumph.

Mikkel Boedker and Lauri Korpikoski each added a tally to back goalie Mike Smith, who turned aside 31-of-34 shots.

The Hurricanes, meanwhile, dropped a third in four games despite scores from Jeff Skinner, Eric Staal and Riley Nash.

Goalie Anton Khudobin left the game in the second period with a lower-body injury after yielding two goals on 20 shots.

Cam Ward relieved, giving up three goals on 12 shots the rest of the way.
