PARIS, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- The team from Great Britain and Ireland won three late matches at the Seve Cup Saturday and pulled even with Continental Europe 9-9.
The G-B-and-I side trailed by a point at the start of play in Paris Saturday and by two points after Saturday's morning matches, but they roared back to win the afternoon sessions 3-1 to tie the score.
"Looks like we start from scratch tomorrow," said Continental Europe captain Jose Maria Olazabal.
Europe failed to get another win from the duo of Nicolas Colsaerts and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, who had scored easy victories in the first two days of play. They fell in the afternoon session to Pail Lawrie and Stephen Gallacher, who led wire-to-wire and won two holes with bogeys.
