NHL: Toronto 4, Montreal 3

MONTREAL, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Tyler Bozak scored a go-ahead, short-handed goal Tuesday and the Toronto Maple Leafs went on to edge Montreal 4-3 in the NHL 2013-14 season opener.

With the score tied 2-2 late in the second period and the Canadiens on the power play, Bozak stripped defenseman Andrei Markov of the puck at his own blue line, skated in alone on net and put a forehand shot past Carey Price.
