MLB: Boston 5, Toronto 2

BOSTON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Jackie Bradley Jr. smacked a three-run homer Sunday and American League East champions Boston stayed on a roll with a 5-2 defeat of Toronto.

David Ortiz contributed a bases-empty shot and Ryan Lavarnway added an RBI as the Red Sox took the rubber match of a three-game series.

Felix Doubront (11-6) allowed two runs on four hits over seven solid innings to notch the victory, and Koji Uehara secured it with his 21st save.

Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey (13-13) was touched for five runs on six hits over eight full innings, striking out 11.

Kevin Pillar homered and knocked in both runs for Toronto.
