MONTREAL, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Camilo Sanvezzo netted a pair of goals Saturday and the Vancouver Whitecaps helped their playoff chances with a 3-0 win over Montreal.
After Kenny Miller snapped Vancouver's five-game scoreless drought with an early goal on a penalty kick, Camilo secured the victory with two late tallies in the 89th and 91st minutes.
With their first win in six games, the sixth-place Whitecaps (11-10-8) remained three points out of a Western Conference playoff spot.
The Impact (13-9-6), seeded second in the East, dropped a second straight home match.
