MLB: Toronto 4, Boston 2

BOSTON, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Toronto's Mark Buehrle handcuffed Boston's batters Saturday, limiting the Red Sox to one run over six innings in the Blue Jays' 4-2 win.

Buerhle (12-9) allowed five hits and didn't issue a walk while striking out five for Toronto, which evened its three-game series.

Dustin McGowan and Sergio Santos combined for two scoreless relief innings and Casey Janssen secured the win with his 33rd save.

Adam Lind, Rajai Davis and J.P. Arencibia each drove in a run for Toronto.

Boston's Clay Buchholz (11-1) was hung with his first loss of the season, surrendering three runs (two earned) on six hits over six innings.

Jonny Gomes and David Ross recorded RBI for the Red Sox, who clinched the American League East title with a 6-3 victory over Toronto Friday.
