MLB: Miami 4, Philadelphia 3 (10 inn.)

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Ed Lucas hit a home run in the 10th inning Wednesday and Miami ended a four-game skid with a 4-3 victory over Philadelphia.

Giancarlo Stanton lifted the Marlins into a tie with a two-run homer in the sixth and the game remained deadlocked until Lucas opened the 10th with his blast on a 2-2 pitch off Cesar Jimenez (101).

Philadelphia loaded the bases with one out in the bottom half of the inning thanks in large part to a fielding error by Lucas at third base, but Steve Cishek recorded a strikeout and ground out to end the game and earn his 31st save.

Brad Hand (1-1) picked up the win by working the ninth, during which he walked one.
