HARRISON, N.J., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Thierry Henry and Fabian Espindola each scored Saturday and the New York Red Bulls beat Toronto FC 2-0 to take over first place in the Eastern Conference.
Henry scored in the 32nd minute on a close shot following a cross from Dax McCarty, and Espindola put in a header from a sharp angle in the second half to double New York's advantage.

The Red Bulls (14-9-6) moved three points ahead of Sporting Kansas City atop the East. SKC has two games in hand.
TFC fell to 4-14-11.
