MLB: Cleveland 7, Chicago White Sox 1

CHICAGO, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Nick Swisher hit two home runs Sunday and the Cleveland Indians tightened the American League wild-card race with a 7-1 pounding of the Chicago White Sox.

Swisher's solo shot in the sixth handed the Indians a 3-0 lead and his bases-empty blast in the ninth capped the scoring for Cleveland, which completed a four-game sweep of Chicago and pulled within 1/2 game of wild-card co-leaders Tampa Bay and Texas.
