MLB: Minnesota 6, Los Angeles Angels 3

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Trevor Plouffe drove in three runs Monday, including a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, elevating Minnesota over the Los Angeles Angels 6-3.

The Twins were trailing 3-1 in the fifth when the Twins put Josmil Pinto (3-for-4, RBI) and Ryan Doumit aboard with two outs and Plouffe knocked them both in with a single to center.

Then in the seventh, Brian Dozier drew a lead-off walk from Cory Rasmus (0-1), went to second on a fielder's choice, advanced to third on an Angels error and came home when Plouffe lofted a sac fly to right field for a 4-3 Twins lead.

Pedro Florimon went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Minnesota, which snapped a 10-game home losing streak.

Casey Fien (4-2) earned the decision and Glen Perkins secured the victory with his 33rd save.

Kole Calhoun provided three hits with an RBI for Los Angeles.
