MLB: Toronto 2, Minnesota 0

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Esmil Rogers pitched 7 2/3 shutout innings and Jose Reyes supplied a late, go-ahead RBI Sunday in Toronto's series-sweeping 2-0 win over Minnesota.

Rogers (5-7) scattered three hits and a walk while striking out four in the gem, exiting with the game in a scoreless deadlock.

But in the next inning, Reyes laced a run-scoring two-bagger off Jared Burton (2-9), stole third and then scored on a Rajai Davis single to center field.

Brett Cecil and Sergio Santos each recorded an out in the eighth and Casey Janssen wrapped up the win with his 29th save as the Blue Jays took all three games of their series in Minnesota.

The Twins, who have lost 10 straight at home, wasted a strong start from rookie Andrew Albers, who scattered four hits over seven shutout innings, fanning five.
