CHICAGO, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Donnie Murphy's go-ahead, two-run homer in the seventh inning Wednesday highlighted a four-run rally that carried the Chicago Cubs past Miami 9-7.
Chicago came into the seventh trailing 7-4, but began a comeback when A.J. Ramos issued consecutive walks to Darwin Barney and Anthony Rizzo leading off the inning.
Both runners moved up on a passed ball by Marlins catcher Koyie Hill, and Dioner Navarro (home run, three RBI) followed with a ground single to left, driving in Barney and Rizzo.
Ryan Webb (2-6) came in to pitch, only to be greeted by Murphy with a decisive two-run homer into the left-field bleachers.
Starlin Castro and Ryan Sweeney also went deep in a game that featured seven total homers.
Carlos Villanueva (4-8) earned the decision and Kevin Gregg notched his 29th save as the Cubs avoided a three-game sweep.
Adeiny Hechavarria went 3-for-4 with grand slam and Logan Morrison added a two-run shot for Miami.
