MLB: San Francisco 1, Arizona 0

PHOENIX, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Tim Lincecum joined in with three relievers Friday to blank Arizona on seven hits and boost San Francisco to a 1-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

San Francisco managed just three hits, but scratched out a run in the first on a sacrifice fly by Brandon Belt.

That turned out to be enough with Lincecum (8-13) giving up six hits over six innings. Javier Lopez, Santiago Casilla and Sergio Romo all worked an inning of relief. Romo collected his 33rd save.

The hard-luck loss went to Randall Delgado (4-5), who gave up only three hits in seven innings.

San Francisco, which won 94 games last season prior to winning the World Series for the second time in three years, posted just its 60th victory of the season Friday.
