MLB: Los Angeles Angels 6, Houston 5 (10 innings)

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Josh Hamilton bashed a game-winning homer in the 10th inning Saturday, handing the Los Angeles Angels a 6-5 triumph over Houston.

The score was tied 5-5 in the 10th when Hamilton came to the plate with one out and pounded a pitch from Josh Fields (1-3) into the right field bleachers for his 18th homer of the year.

The blow made a winner of Ernesto Frieri (1-4), who had hurled two innings of scoreless relief for Los Angeles.

Mark Trumbo provided a solo homer and a two-run triple and Erick Aybar went 3-for-5 with two RBI as the Angels evened their three-game series.

Brett Wallace hit a two-run homer and added an RBI single for Houston.
