MLB: Houston 8, Los Angeles Angels 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Houston's Chris Carter smashed a three-run homer and finished with five RBI Friday to carry the Astros to an 8-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

The Astros also got a solo shot from Matt Dominguez in racking up their third win in four games. L.J. Hoes notched three hits and scored a run to aid Houston's cause.

The win went to Brad Peacock (2-4), his first since April 10. He limited the Angels to four hits and two walks and didn't give up an earned run in 6 1/3 innings.

Los Angeles got RBI from Hank Conger and Grant Green.

The loss was slapped on Jerome Williams (5-9), his seventh straight. He made it through only 4 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on five hits and four walks in just 4 1/3 innings of work.
