NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Associates of suspended New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez have released documents damaging to two players in a league-wide doping scandal, a report says.
The documents, uncovered by the television program "60 Minutes," name Rodriguez teammate Francisco Cervelli and Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun as having used performance enhancing drugs, CBS News reported Friday.
Baltimore Oriole Danny Valencia also was listed in the documents. He has been cleared by Major League Baseball.
People described by CBS as Rodriguez's inner circle released the documents in February in Yahoo Sports, shortly after the Miami New Times published documents in January that allegedly detailed Rodriguez' extensive doping.
In the New Times report, the names of Braun and Cervelli were blacked out.
The documents were written by Anthony Bosch, operator of a Miami clinic who has admitted providing performance athlete drugs to a number of professional athletes.
Rodriguez's attorney, David Cornwell, denied the allegations, which he said were aimed at "driving a wedge between Alex and other players in the game."
Braun has accepted a 65-game suspension. Twelve other players, including Cervelli, have accepted 50-game bans. Rodriguez has appealed a 211-game suspension.
