BRISTOL, Conn., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- A Connecticut storage locker rented by accused killer Aaron Hernandez's fiancee was searched by homicide investigators, court documents said.
Detectives indicated in the newly released documents they suspected Shayanna Jenkins of hiding evidence and otherwise attempting to "hinder or mislead" the probe into the shooting death of Odin Lloyd June 17.
Hernandez, a rising star for the New England Patriots, is charged with killing Lloyd during a personal dispute.
The search did not result in the seizure of anything inside the locker, the documents said.
Jenkins has not been charged in connection with Lloyd slaying; however authorities have suspected she may have disposed of guns at Hernandez's Massachusetts home that could tie him to the shooting, The Hartford (Conn.) Courant said Sunday.
The court documents released Friday discussed home surveillance video showing Jenkins leaving the home June 18 placing a trash bag in her car trunk. When she returned 35 minutes later, she opened the trunk but the bag was not visible.
