MLB: Los Angeles Angels 7, Toronto 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Rookie Kole Calhoun's second homer in two games backed a strong start from Jered Weaver Saturday in the Los Angeles Angels' 7-3 win over Toronto.

Calhoun, who delivered his first big-league home run in Friday's 7-5 victory, belted another one Saturday, sparking a four-run fifth inning that broke the game open.

Howie Kendrick went 3-for-4 with an RBI while Mark Trumbo, Erick Aybar and Chris Nelson each drove in a run as the Angels recorded a third straight win over the Blue Jays.

Weaver (6-5) yielded three runs on seven hits over 7 2/3 innings, walking two and striking out five.

Toronto starter Esmil Rogers (3-6) was lit up for seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits in a five-inning effort.

Brett Lawrie hit a solo homer for the Blue Jays.
